General About us

Empowering researchers with robust laboratory robotics that turn experimental ideas into reproducible data.

Labs & Research is the division of MOBLANC dedicated to the design.

MOBLANC Labs & Research is the division of MOBLANC dedicated to the design, development, and commercialization of advanced laboratory machines and research-grade robotic systems. We focus on building robust, scalable instruments that bridge cutting-edge research needs with real-world laboratory workflows.

Our team works at the intersection of robotics, imaging, automation, and scientific instrumentation. Many of our engineers and collaborators come directly from research environments, which allows us to deeply understand experimental constraints, data-quality requirements, and the importance of reproducibility. As a result, communication with our clients is seamless, efficient, and grounded in shared technical language.

Labs & Research is the division of MOBLANC dedicated to the design.

We specialize in end-to-end robotic ecosystems for high-throughput imaging and phenotyping of biological and material samples. Our systems are designed not only as standalone machines, but as complete platforms that integrate hardware, software, sample handling, and workflow optimization. The Blackbird imaging system represents our first commercially available platform, offering an accessible yet powerful solution for high-resolution, high-throughput laboratory imaging. Ongoing developments include hyperspectral imaging robots, automated sample tray handling systems, and complementary laboratory automation modules.

A defining characteristic of MOBLANC Labs & Research is our ecosystem-driven approach. We place strong emphasis on the design of accessories, fixtures, trays, and auxiliary machines that enhance efficiency, throughput, and experimental reliability. Rapid prototyping and iterative development, supported by MOBLANC Manufacturing, allow us to move quickly from concept to validated instrument.

Above all, we respect the impact of our clients work. Whether in academia, industry, or applied research, we understand that our machines are tools in larger scientific and societal missions. Our goal is to provide reliable, affordable, and scalable laboratory robotics that empower researchers to focus on discovery rather than infrastructure.
